Jersey: Attitudes, Wedding Bells & Blues

After arriving at the airport at 5am...and waiting until 6pm to step inside the plane, we were more than ecstatic to finally be on our way.

ATTITUDES: It's interesting how different California's culture is from Jersey, and even Chicago. The city life is fast pace and on the go, but people here are the complete opposite of that. They take their time and move through life slowly. Too slow for us, but on the up-side, people are nice! I didn't realize how nice until stepping into my beloved home. lol One of the first places I went to with the girls was Carlos Bakery. Love this place for their lobster tails especially! Well as soon as we stepped in, attitude! It was like night and day. Julie was with me and she felt it too. All I could do was laugh because I kept thinking, we are so back in Jersey, and a part of me loved it..just a little. lol

The same day the boys came to the rescue when Michelle's car overheated. It made me miss living near our people even more. Always there for each other, no matter what.

WEDDING BELLS: We felt so happy and privileged to be a part of Doug and Stacy's wedding. It was beautiful and full of love. Also, it gave us the chance to see everyone all in one day which was great. We always joke that our friends wedding will keep bringing us back to Jersey every year, and that's been true every year we've been married so far. And as of a few days ago, it look's like Melv and Lizzet are next! :)

Strangely, I'm obsessed with this picture.

On the 21st, my parents celebrated 29 years of marriage! They're the cutest. So happy we got to celebrate with them.

BLUES : when we got to our car after a long 5 hour flight, the windshield was shattered. The parking company wasn't at all helpful and there were tears let me tell you. In Jesus's love and care for us, Elimar was working nearby and came to the rescue, giving us a person who could fix it the next day. And the phone calls to insurance continue.

Till next time Jersey. It was good to be home.

having & holding: year 4

"Who knows where this path will take us, but lets go forth hand in hand and promise not to let go, because it may lead us somewhere vast and amazing."

And the best part is, the best is yet to come! This year of marriage has been a whirlwind of adventure & serious trusting in God for everyday, then seeing the miracles come one by one. On our third anniversary I wanted to come into this year expecting more! Now, on our fourth anniversary the word I want to soak up in prayer is, deeper. I want us to grow deeper in our love for each other, others and especially the Lord. I want the love of God to flow so strongly in and through us it's contagious. And people will not see us, but Jesus.

I pray for presence. God's presence thick in our lives. That we may see the Father's love, feel the peace of Christ and move in the presence of the Holy Spirit. I pray that this year will be the year when things shift. In Christ alone!

Thy Kingdom Come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is
In heaven

Happy 4 years as one, to the man I love.
