showering sister

A few weeks ago I flew to Jersey to celebrate my sisters bridal shower. We knew we wanted a boho feel with lots of dark woods and colorful flowers to match her invites. And of course, rose gold! It was the happiest day and I'm so thankful for our family and friends who helped us put it all together. From 8 am flower warehouse runs to 12 am setting up for the big day. It was all worth it <3

Later that night the bride and the sisters drove into NYC for a fun and delicious bachelorette party baking cupcakes in the cutest little shop! It was a blast and I kind of want to do it again. lol We thought we were taking home 6 cupcakes each but we all got 9 instead, and OMG they were the bomb! Celebrating Michelle & Joe was so sweet, I can't wait for the wedding day in April!

California bloom

When the flowers start to bloom in the spring, we make sure to take our yearly hike at Torrey Pines because the smells and views are breath taking. The California Poppy was in full bloom for the first time in years according to life long locals. We felt grateful to see them in all their beauty.

the cross has the final word

Last year, G and I went to a concert that featured multiple Christian bands and honestly, the main reason we went was to see Kari Jobe! As everyone already knows, she is anointed and her voice is so pure. Worshiping God with her and Cody leading was a moment I'll never forget, and this song is one that has stuck with me since that night. I still get goosebumps every time I listen to it because of its TRUTH. No matter what is happening in life, whether we're high on the mountain top or low in the valley - the cross of Jesus Christ has the final word.

Are you struggling today? Lean into your hurt, pain, trauma, self-hate, "not good enough" mentality, addiction, anxiety, fear, sadness...whatever it may be, WITH CHRIST. He loves you and died so you could live and be free in Him. Learning this has changed the way I think about my pain as it relates to Jesus. I don't have to numb it; Jesus wants to transform me through it!

These hotels are a sight to see!

Of course as soon as we saw Shack Shack we knew where we wanted to eat. I miss our walks there on those cold winter nights in Chicago for a late night burger!

The water show at the Bellagio was really awesome! The water coordinated with the music and we were pretty impressed haha

It was so awesome to be able to travel to this fun place! It was cleaner, larger and nicer than we expected it to be and we're definitely going to be back to see a show! Happy Birthday G! I love you so much and would only drive to Vegas and back in a day for you! ;)
