Our visits to new places continue! G and I spent the weekend at my aunts house by L.A. a few weeks ago to spend some time with family. While we were there, we wanted to visit somewhere new. So as we searched, I remembered the first time I visited Cali (10 years ago!) my aunt took me to Venice Beach. All I remembered was that it was crowded, busy and had lots going on with many different kinds of people everywhere. Well, let's just say that nothing has changed since then! First we walked down Abbot Kinney Blvd. a few blocks from the beach. This place! It's basically hipster town with all it's food trucks, bearded men, colorful murals, vegan (and way overpriced) restaurants, and coffee shops galore! Yes, it was awesome and IG gold.
Later, we ate on the boardwalk, walked around and people watched for a long time. It was such a fun day, and I was so glad I could bring G there to experience it!
